Dubai Summer Surprise(DSS) is an annual summer event here in Dubai , held during the summer school vacations . Yes 6 weeks of sale and other fun events in all the malls in Dubai. A much appreciated initiative by the Dubai government for entertaining, the locals and residents  who are not flying out for school vacations . Also great deal for the tourists who fly in to Dubai.

Summer Bazaar is one of such event happening now for this years DSS .

The Summer Bazaar – is a “cultural market” that offers a unique shopping experience bringing different cultures from around the world under one roof.

A wide selection of stalls , ranging from international handicrafts, apparel, beauty products, perfumes oudh, home appliances, toys ,baby items, accessories and food .

The Summer Bazaar is in Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) , you have every facility there  . Like free parking (which is little far away though ) or paid parking which is  per hour 5 dhs( but inside the same premises ). There is prayer room, nursing room and quite a good selection of restaurants to check out too . DWTC conducts worlds well known big brands exhibitions too.

  • The Summer Bazaar Dxb  ’17 commenced on July 6 and is set to run until 4th September, 2017 .

So this summer if you have no great plans , do consider visiting here for some fun . Ditch the mall and shop here .

What all I shopped ? I shopped fit flop sandals, though they were last spring collection. Me being not so model conscious, and as I felt they were retailing at good a price of Aed 150 ownwards ,I did get them.

Also I shopped some dresses for my kids . Oh yes even I saw a Chinese trading store and shopped some stuffs from there too .

Rest all stalls I just window shopped. There are some good deals to shop too . I saw a branded Abaya kiosks  , they dint allow to take pics , but the design and prices were great. Also there were two Pakistani dress material stalls  , they had good collection of stuffs too .

If you ask me what’s my verdict or what could have been better . I felt few more options of food stalls and some branded stalls could have been included  . I dint see any branded retail stalls . Also there wasn’t any great  Indian aparrell stalls , wished those were there too. This year so far have been to other two exhibitions and each one is different from each .

So check out what all I shopped and saw.

The first stall which I saw was this Pakistani dress material . They had the brocade material retailing at 35 dhs /m .
