Dubai Summer Surprise(DSS) is an annual summer event here in Dubai , held during the summer school vacations . Yes 6 weeks of sale and other fun events in all the malls in Dubai. A much appreciated initiative by the Dubai government for entertaining, the locals and residents who are not flying out for school vacations . Also great deal for the tourists who fly in to Dubai.
Summer Bazaar is one of such event happening now for this years DSS .
The Summer Bazaar – is a “cultural market” that offers a unique shopping experience bringing different cultures from around the world under one roof.
A wide selection of stalls , ranging from international handicrafts, apparel, beauty products, perfumes oudh, home appliances, toys ,baby items, accessories and food .
The Summer Bazaar is in Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) , you have every facility there . Like free parking (which is little far away though ) or paid parking which is per hour 5 dhs( but inside the same premises ). There is prayer room, nursing room and quite a good selection of restaurants to check out too . DWTC conducts worlds well known big brands exhibitions too.
- The Summer Bazaar Dxb ’17 commenced on July 6 and is set to run until 4th September, 2017 .

So this summer if you have no great plans , do consider visiting here for some fun . Ditch the mall and shop here .
What all I shopped ? I shopped fit flop sandals, though they were last spring collection. Me being not so model conscious, and as I felt they were retailing at good a price of Aed 150 ownwards ,I did get them.
Also I shopped some dresses for my kids . Oh yes even I saw a Chinese trading store and shopped some stuffs from there too .
Rest all stalls I just window shopped. There are some good deals to shop too . I saw a branded Abaya kiosks , they dint allow to take pics , but the design and prices were great. Also there were two Pakistani dress material stalls , they had good collection of stuffs too .
If you ask me what’s my verdict or what could have been better . I felt few more options of food stalls and some branded stalls could have been included . I dint see any branded retail stalls . Also there wasn’t any great Indian aparrell stalls , wished those were there too.This year so far have been to other two exhibitions and each one is different from each .
So check out what all I shopped and saw.
The first stall which I saw was this Pakistani dress material . They had the brocade material retailing at 35 dhs /m . They had both pure chiffon and organza chiffon materials , they were retailing it at 50-80 dhs /m range . I just just loved them . Daily wear Pakistani lawn material from 50 dhs onwards I must say amazing materials.
There are few Sheila stalls too .
Indian handicrafts and handloom bedsheets , table mats etc
This store had teen fashion , retailing at 100 dhs
The below ones looked really pretty but little expensive too 100 dhs .
The ladies maxi long gowns are 100 dhs range
This kiosks had ladies too 1pc 60 dhs and tehsi pcs for 150 dhs
They had Bridal leganga and cakes , the bling ones it was starting from 1400 dhs range
Doodle tops were retailing for 45 dhs
