Samoosa are the trending Ramadan Fidget spinner, I don’t think there is any home that doesn’t fry samoosa for Ramadan.
Last year I found one blog name http://cleobuttera.com/ in instagram, I was mind blown by the desserts made by Ms.Tasbih from Egypt, all her Middle East desserts which I tried did get in so much praises from my family. Check her blog to find many more desserts!
So this year I again tried them and they were so tasty ….. Mini samoosas crispy and delicious with sugar syrup another version of baklawah .
- Mini samoosa leaves (I used http://www.switzfrozen.com/samosa-patti/, if your using big then cut to equal 6 parts)
- cream cheeses cubes – cube it to small pieces (I used http://www.kiriarabia.com)
- One egg white or flour paste mixture
- Oil to pan fry
- Sugar 1cup
- Water 1/2 cup
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1tsp rose water
- 1tsp orange blossom water
Pistachios crushed for garnish
In a pan make the sugar syrup, don’t stir boil it and when it boils reduce to summer it … it needs to be corn syrup , semi thick consistency .
Then take samoosa sheets and fold it add 1/4 tsp one mini cube of cream cheese and fold and seal ends with egg white or flour paste
In a pan pour one table spoon of oil and just pan fry the samoosa … you literally need very less oil it’s not deep fry . When golden in one side flip to other and side and make it crisp
I also did air fry few , used http://www.mea.philips.com/ Philips air fryer and it was perfect , to the air fryed samoosa I added honey
